When I was about 16, my buddies and I were sitting around in the street playing an exciting game of truth or dare. My friend had just finished eating an ant off the ground and I was up next. My buddy Jeff asked me "Truth or Dare?" After thinking about it for a second, I decided to take a chance and do a dare.
Thousands of ideas raced through my friend's mind until finally, he had the ultimate idea. He remembered that John Bon Jovi lived near by. This was when he said: "I dare you to ding dong ditch Bon Jovi's house."
I thought long and hard about if I was going to do it or not. Being extremely stupid back then, I accepted the dare. We had to walk about Two miles to his house. When we finally arrived, my buddy gave me a push and said: "Go for it."I snuck behind a bush and waited for the perfect time. After waiting about a minute and a half, I sprung up to my feet and started charging towards the door. My heart was racing (as it does every time I am about to ding dong ditch as I was running to the door.
Finally I reached the door. I stood there and thought about it for one more second. I told myself "No turning back now" and I rang the bell.
The second that my fingers pressed the button, my legs took me faster than ever back towards the street. I only got halfway across the yard before the door opens and I heard a scream. It turns out that it was Bon Jovi telling me to come to him.
I stopped running and actually started walking back. By that time my friends were already halfway down the street. As I reached the door I was scared to death because I had no idea what was going to happen to me??? After I stepped onto his front step, he started talking to me.
It turned out that he wasn't mad at all. He was actually really cool and friendly. We kept talking and I told him the story about how we were playing truth or dare. He found it really funny.
It was kind of weird how he called some woman who was also in the house over so I could repeat the story. She also found it really funny and wasn't mad at all. I was extremely surprised that no harm was done. We continued to talk for a minute.
Right before I was about to walk away, I got the nerve to ask for his autograph. I thought for sure he would say no and tell me to go away. To my surprise, his answer was a yes. He walked inside to get a pen and paper. While he went inside, the woman invited me to come in. I politely said: "NO thanks." As I was standing there, I noticed how cool his house was. I found it to be very awesome. Finally, he came back with a signed paper.
I said thank you. He then said: "See ya!!!" and shut the door. I then ran to the street and caught up with my friends. I told them what happened and showed them the autograph. They were so jealous and mad at me. I don't know why they were so mad.
That was then a great story to tell everyone I saw for the next few weeks.
I ended up wining that game of truth or dare!
Reaction after the call ended
Come to my party! My friend, Sarah knew her parents were going out of the United States on Friday the 18th until the 21st. Being the 17 year old that she was she decided it was time to plan a party knowing she would get away with it.
Since it was only the 12th she began the party arrangements now with what foods she would serve and who would be there. As the days went on we only got more excited and began hoping the week would go faster than it did. Friday finally came and we waved goodbye to her parents.
As we were left in the small town Enon Valley, PA we began decorating, and ordering the food we anticipated the arrival of her guests. With her basement having balloons everywhere and a black light it was beginning to all come together.
We all sat in a circle and asked who volunteered to go first. Since it was Brett's idea he volunteered to ask the first person.
He asked this girl named Libby "truth or dare" and being a goody goody she responded "truth" she was asked if she would ever date anyone that was in this room. She replied with a "yes" and instantly looked at this boy named Thomas.
Next was Libby's turn to ask someone. She instantly said; Sarah! "truth or dare" and being the risk taker she is she instantly said: "dare".
Knowing that Sarah has been getting prank phone calls daily Libby dared her to answer the phone the next time it rang and say "Hi my name is Sarah and I want you to come to my party". Since she knew her parents would be on the plan she waited for it to ring and to our surprise it rang five minutes later.Sarah was unable to turn down a dare answered the phone saying "Hi my name is Sarah and I want you to come to my party" in a very excited tone we all screamed in the background.
We watched her facial expression change from a smile to a frown in a matter of two seconds. She hung up the phone saying "okay mom I'll see you soon". She then ended up kicking everyone out saying her parents were calling to say their planes were cancelled and they were five minutes from home. Everyone left as fast as they could.
I spoke to Sarah the next day and she got grounded for two months and was not trusted home alone for a very long time. Now that it is three years later we are able to laugh about it. Needless to say she has never hosted a party ever since or answered a phone saying that again.

The Dorky Guy
When I was in college we used to play Truth or Dare from time to time on weekend nights when there was nothing else do to. There was always alcohol involved even though we weren't all old enough to be drinking. One Saturday night a bunch of us was playing.
As the game went on people got more intoxicated. A few people were dared to take articles of clothing off, and they did. There was this one kind of strange guy, Randal, playing Truth or Dare that night.
He had a perpetually greasy forehead, an overbite and he sweated like a pig when he exercised. He also had a condition that made him more susceptible to the effects of alcohol than the average person.
Randal had a huge crush on a woman I lived with. Her name was Victoria. She was, as you can imagine, not interested in Randal at all. At one point in our game Randal, fueled by all of two Twisted Teas, dared Victoria to make out with him.
It wasn't even his turn! Victoria declined and we all chuckled about it. Randal kept leaning close to Victoria, though, and she kept trying to inch away. We were all kind of annoyed by it. Eventually someone dared Randal to go outside for two minutes even though he only had boxer shorts on.
Randal accepted, and then we locked the door so he couldn't get back in. It just so happened that a neighbor was having a loud party where drug use was suspected, so while Randal was standing outside banging on our door the cops showed up.Randal yelled this information through our door, but we thought he was making it up because he was drunk and wanted to get back inside. Moments later the police did knock on our door, though... they thought Randal was trying to break in! We had to explain it was just a joke.
I don't know why, but Randal still hung out with us after that, and I think he may still have a crush on Victoria almost seven years later.

When I was a raising ninth grader, my youth group went to Ocean Isle in North Carolina on the Outer Banks of the USA. We were a small, close knit group having grown up together in a small town in South Carolina.
My girlfriend, Christina, and I had been going out for just over a month. This was the first time we had gone on a trip together without parents, and while we were still chaperoned, most of our time was with our friends or by ourselves.
We took advantage of the time together by walking along the beach to the boardwalk, and having fun at the arcade. Overall, we had a great time together. The house was a typical beach house, two stories with a small apartment on the ground floor.
It was obvious that the apartment was unused, although working. The bathroom there was used primarily as a place to wash the sand off, and was very dirty with stains on the bathtub, floor, sink, and toilet.
That evening, after dinner, the group thought it would be a great idea if we played a combination “Never Have I Ever” with “Truth or Dare” as a consequence (we were too young to drink).
The rules were pretty simple. If only one person did the act, that person had to play truth or dare. If no one did the act, the person who asked had to play truth or dare.
After a few rounds, it was my turn. While I don’t remember my question, I do remember that no one had done the act, so I had to play truth or dare.
My best friend asked me and I said, “Truth.”
He asked “Have you and Christina passed Second Base?” We hadn't, but I was in a difficult place. I couldn't “tell” the truth because my macho ego would be tarnished in front of my best friend, but if I lied I would hurt Christina’s feelings and embarrass her.
I glanced at her and she was beet red, trying to hide her face behind her pillow. I felt my face flushed and knew I was close to her situation. Thinking quickly, I said “A gentleman never kisses and tells, so I’ll take the dare.”
My best friend got a huge grin on his face and said, “I dare you to give yourself a swirly in the downstairs toilet.”
Well, now my predicament was even graver. After a moment’s thought, I said, “Alright, swirly.” We headed downstairs and I assumed my position, placing both hands on the commode, putting my head in the bowl.
My friend flushed, and I waited until the water was gone to lift my head out. When I did, my hair had the typical look and laughter was all around. Even after 15 years, I am still teased about this incident by my friends.
