Being a suburban girl who grew up with football jocks and wrestler cuties, then went away for the big city for college, I have met, dated, and kissed my share of boys in my day.

Here are my tried-and-true tips that will make the difference between a mind blowing make-out session and a yucky slobber-fest that may haunt you for days.

1. Be ready! No one wants to kiss a boy/girl with taco breath! Have mints/gum on hand if you and your guy/lady plan to go on a dinner-date. Have a pocket mirror to check your teeth for any left-over food bits.

2. Lip-gloss might look oh-so-juicy and kissable, but it makes for a sticky and gross kiss. Opt for a non-sticky gloss or a yummy smelling lip balm instead.

3. Relax! I know you heard horror stories about clicking teeth during the kiss, but it's really not that bad in real life. The more you relax the more natural the kiss will be! Just relax your whole body, and enjoy being with the person you are kissing.

4. Be gentle. Those rough and passion-filled kisses in movies and TV-shows may look super exciting, but the next day painful, red, irritated skin will not be fun.

5. Cut back on the slobber! No one appreciates super-wet kisses. Keep the spit to a minimum when French kissing.

6. Use your tongue. Don't just keep your tongue in the other person's mouth like a dead fish! Move it around to stir up some excitement. Try writing out the alphabet using the tip of your tongue when making out with the other person.

7. Gently hold on to the other person's head to give you a solid foundation to your make-out session. Guide your partner's head and twist your own to make for the most comfortable positioning.

Good Kissing Tips - How to Kiss and What to Do

In everyone's life there comes a point where you worry about when and how you should take the next step with the one you like.

You normally spend a lot of time with them and talking to them on the phone and whether if you are exclusive yet or not you seem to know a lot about them. But, before taking the next step to intimacy, always make sure you know what they like and what they do not like.

By giving a proper kiss it tells them just how serious you are for them, but yet if it is a bad one they will mainly remember you for that and be completely uninterested in doing it again in the future. You need to make sure your breath smells good whether if it is from brushing, using mouthwash, or even chewing a piece of gum.

Remember to spit out your gum before making a move because, it would be terrible to have to stop in the middle of it to spit it out or even have it go in the other person's mouth unexpectedly.

When going in for the kiss, watch their response to it and if they are pulling away or if their facial expression is not what you hoped for, do not continue to do it! It means they feel uncomfortable and do not want too or they are just not ready to do it yet.

But, it is exactly what you want to go for it. Make it soft and sweet. Most importantly remember to make it slow. Do not do it fast to where they cannot even keep up with you because, they will turn them off and will be extremely messy in the end.

You never want to have them rub their mouth from it being wet. Another important part of making the moment a great moment in which you will always remember as a good one, hopefully, is where your hands need to be positioned.

You want them soft and delicate to let them know you are interested in them, but not so rough to where it makes them think you are going to force yourself to get more out of them.

If there is still confusion it is best to watch a romantic movie and see how they do it. Many people learn best by watching movies and viewing it happening and others learn by reading kissing stories, just whatever your preference is.

I only kiss guys when playing truth or dare and not anywhere else. Is this bad?

Hi there!

Please don't worry, what you are experiencing is totally normal. Look at the good side. The good thing is that you have friends with whom you are open enough to play Truth or Dare as far as going to kiss someone else. That's pretty awesome already.

Perhaps anyone of these guys is cute enough so that you may want to try to hook up with him outside of a game. One thing is important for you to know. When playing Truth or Dare, kisses don't really count for most people, especially for guys.

So if you are really interested in kissing a guy, make sure you get him alone outside of the game and get him to kiss you. The best way to do this is to be honest. Just say to him that you find him cute and touch him in an unobtrusive way. For example by touching his elbow or by holding his hand.

If you are really shy you can ask your friends to help you out to get you alone with the guy you like. But please don't hurry, you have all the time in the world and better to wait for the right guy than to start kissing everyone only for the sake of kissing games.

I kissed the boyfriend of my friend and risked my friendship with her

My friend had this boyfriend called Nick. Me and my best friend Tara didn’t like him all that much. I heard they broke up and since then Nick was constantly hanging out with Tara and me.

Last weekend, we were hanging out and drinking, and Nick absolutely wanted to come. He brought his friend over, who was nice but not cute.

Nick didn’t drink this evening but the rest of us were pretty drunk. Nick got bored after a while and wanted to play “Spin the Bottle” or “7 Minutes in Heaven”.

After chose Spin the Bottle and we all had had our turns and everyone had made out several times, we stopped playing because kissing games were really boring to play with 4 people.

After a while Nick said to his buddy “It’s awesome that we both have cool girlfriends, right pal?” and I was all like “What the f...!?”

He never said he was still together with his girlfriend! He left early with some lame excuse. I do not even remember what it was.

The next day, his girlfriend was screaming in the phone how could I do this to her, and why Tara and I made out with her boyfriend…

Now she believes him, after he told her that we “forced” him to play spin the bottle. I cannot believe how naïve she was!
